Fallen Angels #3

I really want to like this book, but I have to say, having only a familiarity with Laura Kinney, I feel like I’m missing something. I don’t think this is a book you can jump into without know the characters and not be at least a little confused. The whole, Kwannon/Betsy Braddock situation is confusing enough. But for now, I think the fact they are done with the switching bodies thing should help this series grow. Kwannon is an interesting character and Laura Kinney is a new favorite of mine.

Speaking of, I did like the X-23 from her recent solo book better than how she is portrayed here. Hill has acknowledged this change so hopefully he has a plan. The art is very striking. It’s dark with sharp contrasts and lines. All in all, I’m not super impressed with this book, but I have faith in Hill and Kudranski to put together a compelling story.
